Our Facility

The D. Scott Hudgens Center for Skilled Nursing is a component of the Laura Grier Center for Special Care located on the campus of Annandale Village in Suwanee, Georgia.  Annandale Village began operations in 1969 as a residential community for adults with developmental disabilities.  As time has past and our Villagers have gotten older, the need for 24 hour care became evident.  In response to the needs of our Villagers, the Laura Grier Center for Special Care was opened in 2002 and the DSH Center in 2004.  The center offers assisted living services in the Laura Grier house and skilled nursing care in the D. Scott Hudgens Center for Skilled Nursing.

The DSH Center for Skilled Nursing is a modern, 16 bed skilled nursing facility.  All of the rooms open into the central area where the nurse's station is located.  All residents can be monitored from the centrally located nursing station.  DSH offers all of the services of a traditional nursing home while specializing in the special needs of individuals with a primary diagnosis of mental retardation or other developmental disability.
