Here at D. Scott Hudgens Center for Skilled Nursing, we offer a warm and nurturing atmosphere where your loved one can thrive and enjoy a wonderful quality of life. Our highly skilled staff has been specifically trained to meet the needs of adults with developmental disabilities who may also be experiencing the effects of aging such as dementia, lack of mobility, medication monitoring, and loss of skills.
Our residents are encouraged to be as independent as they are able and to participate in activities that are of interest to them. In addition to programs and activities that are provided at the center, residents may also go on off campus outings and take part in the programs offered at the Patricia M. Brown Center for Programs, if they are appropriate.
We strive to make D. Scott Hudgens as much like home as possible. We work together as a team to meet the unique clinical and emotional needs or our residents. Special things are happening every day, from short walks around the campus to a visit with the horses, we are building trusting relationships.
I welcome you to come and visit us and the Annandale Village campus. We are very proud of our facility and the care that we provide for our very special community.
Sincerely,
Dayna Cramer, Administrator

DSH became the first skilled nursing center in the state of Georgia to purchase the Quadriciser Motorized Therapy System on Tuesday, June 2, 2010. Thanks to the generosity of our Annandale and D. Scott Hudgens families, the funds were raised to purchase our very own unit.
The Quadriciser was introduced to the staff at Annandale Village and D. Scott Hudgens while attending a recent convention. The amazing benefits of the Quadriciser were demonstrated in March when inventor and CEO of Quadriciser Corp, Larry Bohanan brought a unit to D. Scott Hudgens for a hands on demonstration with our Villagers. Significant improvement in range of motion, walking ability, and alertness were seen in all of the Villagers who tried it out.
The staff from D. Scott Hudgens, Laura Grier and Sundance Rehabilitation attended a training on the use of the machine when Larry delivered it to DSH on Tuesday. The physical therapist from Sundance Rehabilitation will be incorporating the use of the machine into the treatment plans of their patients.
The Quadriciser will be available to all of the residents at Annandale Village. Our health services department will help coordinate scheduling with the staff at DSH and Sundance Rehabilitation.
